chris nieratko has a pretty rad interview with arto saari over on his site. the interview was supposed to go in theskateboardmag, but it got shit-canned. you’ll just have to read nieratko’s opening piece.
people tell me that skateboarding’s new popularity is a good thing, more kids are getting involved, the pros can make a decent living… the thing is, i don’t care if little kids start skateboarding, i don’t care if the pros can afford nice houses. i liked it when skateboarding was about craetivity and fun. i liked it when we were under the radar. whatever. it is what it is.

this is a nice, little video. i don’t know any of the dudes. but, i found the link on the ‘es site, so i bet that at least one of them rides for ‘es. remember when ‘es was all about big, puffy, synthetic shoes covered in reflective material?
